How will you be making a difference?

  • Deliver training sessions across Ireland in homes, schools, centres, and care settings.

  • Provide training, demonstrations, and implementation support for Smartbox technology to individuals and professionals.

  • Educate new and existing customers (particularly within educational and clinical environments) on AAC access and Smartbox solutions.

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assess AAC needs and make appropriate recommendations.

  • Plan and deliver tailored therapy packages using Smartbox products.

  • Support schools and services through professional development sessions and workshops.

  • Promote Smartbox products and services to new and existing clients across Ireland.

  • Contribute clinical insight to the wider Smartbox team, including product development and strategy.

  • Attend key industry events in Ireland and occasionally across the UK or Europe.

  • Share best practice and expertise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with marketing to identify user stories and shape clinical content.

Organisational Responsibilities

  • Uphold and actively support Smartbox's Quality Management System (QMS), contributing to continuous quality improvement, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

  • Support the company’s sustainability goals through responsible working practices and consideration of environmental impacts in our day-to-day activities.

  • Actively support Smartbox’s purpose of empowering people with disabilities through assistive technology, ensuring that all work contributes to improving user experience and accessibility.

  • Handle personal and sensitive information in line with company policies, GDPR, HIPAA and data protection regulations.

  • Follow all health and safety policies and promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace for team members and customers.

  • Maintain high standards of conduct, professionalism, and integrity in all internal and external interactions.

  • Contribute to an inclusive culture that values every individual’s contribution and upholds equality and respect.

The successful applicant will also be asked to perform other duties on an ad-hoc basis and will need a proactive attitude to this.

Essential Qualifications/skills/experience

  • Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist or similar professional background.

  • Demonstrated experience and passion for AAC and assistive technology.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Confident presenter and trainer, with experience delivering to professionals and families.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage your time independently in a field-based role.

  • Comfortable with travel throughout Ireland.

  • Strong technical proficiency and willingness to develop product knowledge.

Useful Qualifications/skills/experience

  • Previous experience in sales, education or training delivery.

  • Connections with schools and AAC services in Ireland.

  • Knowledge of the Irish AAC landscape and funding routes.

Additional information

  • This is a remote role, giving you the flexibility to work primarily from home while remaining connected to our team. You’ll be asked to attend our Malvern or Bristol office occasionally for key meetings, team collaboration days, or company events, with advance notice provided.

  • You will gain in-depth knowledge of our products and see first-hand the impact they have on empowering people every day.

  • You will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the business and contribute to shared goals.
